It was absolute honour meeting the blues legend, who’s career spans nearly half a century and has starred the likes of Canned Heat, John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers as well as his own solo career.
The guitar player aged now 67 suffered severe illness through liver trouble in 2013 in where he lost an immense amount of blood, experiencing a coma and questionable time left to live.

Fortunately, Walter underwent a liver transplant and recovered, however with this Walter lost his memory and had to learn everything again from talking, to walking to eating, eventually he spend time teaching himself to play the guitar.

His 2016 album Battle Scars tells the stories of his experiences from surgery, recovery and lying in a hospital bed feeling like it’s the end.

Walter is now back and touring strong as ever with his new album We’re All in This Together, which features collaborations with artists such Joe Bonamassa, John Mayall, Eric Gales, Robben Ford, Edgar Winter and many more.
